Balancing mixture
INGREDIENTS:
Lemon Balm, Nettle, Rose, Motherwort, Horsetail, Mugwort, & Universal Love
Lemon balm "Melissa officinalis", a member of the mint family, is considered a calming herb. It was used as far back as the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion including gas and bloating, as well as colic. Stinging nettle or Urtica dioica has been used for hundreds of years to treat painful muscles and joints, eczema, arthritis, gout, and anemia. The leaves and stems of nettle have been used historically to treat arthritis and relieve sore muscles. Rose petals/Persion Nestern contain polyphenols, antioxidants that work to protect your body from cell damage. The polyphenols in rose tea have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and cognitive diseases. Motherwort (Leonurus cardiac) is a plant that grows about 1 meter in height. The parts that grow above the ground are used to make medicine.Motherwort has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It might also help fight bacteria and stimulate the uterus. Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) is an herbal remedy that dates back to ancient Roman and Greek times. It was used traditionally to stop bleeding, heal ulcers and wounds, and treat tuberculosis and kidney problems. Mugwort is a common plant in the British Isles; its angular, purple stalks growing more than three feet in height. It bears dark green leaves with cottony down undersides. Mugwort is said to have derived its name from having been used to flavor beer before the wide use of hops. Today, Mugwort taken orally (by mouth) is promoted for digestive problems, irregular menstruation, and high blood pressure. It is also promoted as a sedative, laxative, and liver tonic.
DIRECTIONS:
1) Add 1 tsp. of tea to 8 oz. of boiling water.
2) Let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes and then strain. Enjoy!
